Special Mementos for the first ever Refugee Week Malta 2022 :) This festival was produced by Dance Beyond Borders and endorsed by Counterpoints UK. HER seeks to present fragments of one remarkable woman’s experience of migration. It seeks to invite insight to this woman’s resilience, strength and bravery, echoing that of other people living in our migrant communities. We wish this warrior woman peace and glory wherever her journey has taken her. Anchoring Connection is a dance workshop programme that integrates dance, movement and rhythm shared with women seeking sanctuary. Our intention is to facilitate a space for women to feel safe, to share their stories and support each other. We seek to connect with each other and to welcome these women to the local community.

This work has been intimately performed by the sea under the evening sky in the Maltese Capital, Valletta and premiered during Refugee Week Malta; a festival held in June 2022 in Malta to celebrate the resilience, creativity and contributions of Refugees. This event was part of an evening of Spoken Word, Poetry and Dance.
